Derhead was formed in 2001.
Their new EP “Irrational I” expands on the band’s distinctive Depressive Black Metal roots by incorporating the heaviness of Doom and Industrial music, thus defining this new creative cycle as something decidedly avant-garde and experimental.

Skilfully mixing raw and aggressive riffs with the epic grandeur of more sophisticated and slower parts, “Irrational I” deals with our fragmented relationship with the concepts of reality, desire and time.

The two long tracks comprising the EP will slowly unfold to reveal the contrasting nature of our place within the cogwheels of time, leading us to contemplate the contrast between reality and our inner self.
